What We Offer

What Do We Offer in
Sea Freight Forwarding?

Ocean freight for businesses importing into and exporting out of Saudi Arabia, reviewed shipment by shipment rather than sold from a fixed menu.

Import & Export by Sea

From a single container to recurring volume, coordinated end to end by one team.

FCL — Full Container Load

Standard, high-cube, and specialised container types reviewed against your cargo.

01

LCL — Part Container Load

Consolidated space when your volume does not fill a container on its own.

02

One Point of Contact, Start to Finish

The same person handles your booking, documentation, and delivery updates — not a general inbox.

Cargo that will not fit a container is reviewed with our project cargo team.

03

Port-to-Port or Door-to-Door

Inland legs arranged through our road freight service where needed.

04

What to Know

Planning Your
Sea Freight Shipment

A few details help our team review your sea freight enquiry properly, from cargo type to documentation.

Import & Export

Import and Export
Ocean Shipments

ASLC reviews both import and export sea freight enquiries for businesses across Saudi Arabia. Share the cargo type, shipment size, origin, and destination so our team can review your requirements and respond with a tailored quote.

Cargo Considerations

Cargo
Considerations

Container type, load size, temperature requirements, and oversized items all affect how a shipment is planned. Mention these details in your enquiry so we can review your specific requirements.

Documentation

Documentation
Coordination

ASLC coordinates the shipment details and commercial documents your booking needs, working alongside our separate Customs Clearance service.

Why ASLC

Why Choose ASLC for Sea Freight?

Sea freight is not only about moving a container. It is about documentation that holds up, a route that suits the cargo, and someone who answers when you need an update.

One Point of Contact

Your shipment stays with a direct contact from enquiry through to delivery, rather than moving between desks.

01

Customs Support Built In

Import and export paperwork is coordinated with your booking, so documents are reviewed before they hold cargo at the port.

02

Six Services, One Partner

Sea, air, road, customs, warehousing, and project cargo under one roof, so multimodal shipments stay with the same team.

03

Based in Dammam

Our office sits in the Eastern Province, close to the Kingdom's main sea freight gateways, which keeps coordination short.

04

Global Network Behind You

Membership in international forwarding networks connects your shipment to a vetted partner in the markets you trade with.

05

Shipment-Specific Planning

Every quote is built around your cargo, route, and timing. We would rather ask another question than send a number that will not hold.

The Process

How Your Sea Freight
Shipment Moves

Five stages from first enquiry to final delivery, with the same point of contact throughout.

01: What is the difference between FCL and LCL?

FCL means your cargo takes a full container to itself. LCL means it shares container space with other consignments and is consolidated at origin. FCL usually suits larger or more sensitive shipments; LCL can be more practical when your volume does not fill a container. Share your cargo dimensions and weight and our team will advise which fits.

Transit time depends on the origin port, the routing, and whether the shipment is direct or transhipped. Because it varies so much between lanes, we confirm an expected transit window for your specific route when we quote, rather than publishing a single figure that would not hold for every shipment.

Yes. Customs clearance is one of our six core services and is coordinated alongside your sea freight booking, so the shipping documents and clearance paperwork are handled together rather than by two separate parties.

We arrange both port-to-port and door-to-door movements. Inland collection and final delivery run through our road freight service within Saudi Arabia and across the GCC. Share the pickup and delivery addresses when you enquire so we can include them in the quote.

As a starting point: what the cargo is, its weight and dimensions, the origin and destination, and when you need it to arrive. If it is oversized, temperature-sensitive, or has particular handling requirements, mention that too, as it affects the container type and routing we recommend.
